Nahomie "Naho" Theodore (Pierre-Louis), age 85, was at home with her family when she peacefully went home to be with her Lord, and Savior Jesus Christ, on Thursday, April 3, 2025, in Boston, Massachusetts. Born on October 4, 1939, in Thomassique, Haiti, she lived a life marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and her community.

Nahomie began her journey in education early on, attending high school in Haiti before dedicating herself to teaching. She served as a teacher and later as Headmistress at l'École Nationale des Filles in Hinche, where she shaped the lives of many young girls with her leadership and commitment to learning. Her passion for nurturing others extended beyond the classroom. She pursued culinary studies at l'École Hôtelière d'Haïti in Port-au-Prince, where she learned the art of baking pastries. With this skill and entrepreneurial spirit, she taught local young ladies how to bake and even opened a boutique store at her home, offering baked goods and a variety of items to her community.

After relocating to the United States with her family, Nahomie continued to expand her impact by earning a nursing degree. She worked at several healthcare institutions including Carney Hospital, Goddard House, and other various assisted living centers throughout Boston. Her dedication to care-giving remained constant across continents and careers.

Her creativity was evident in every aspect of her life—from sewing her own clothes to crafting handmade items for children in Haiti. Her love for baking never waned; she often prepared delicacies that brought joy to many including numerous cakes for birthdays, weddings, and fundraisers.

Nahomie's faith was the cornerstone of her life. A devoted member of New Jerusalem Evangelical Baptist Church in Randolph, she served faithfully as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was deeply involved in the women's ministry, the Vermisseau de Jacob ministry, and co-led one of the prayer ministries. Her spiritual leadership extended internationally through ministry delegations to Canada. During her years living in Brockton, she also worshiped at the Brockton Tabernacle and continued her service there.

Among all her roles, Nahomie loved being a mom but one of her most cherished was that of grandmother. Known lovingly as "Granny Naho," she delighted in spending time with her six grandchildren, showering them with affection, gifts, and playfulness that left lasting memories.

Nahomie was predeceased by her parents, Mr. Aurel Pierre-Louis and Mrs. Dieudonne Davilmar Pierre-Louis, three siblings, Renée Kebreau (Azou), Pinchinat Pierre-Louis (Loulou), and Dr. Jean Pierre-Louis (Mt. Co.), as well as Webster Pierre-Louis, her nephew.

She is survived by her ex-husband Paul D. Theodore, their children: Benz-Ney Theodore, his wife Ermita and their children Emmanuel, Joshua, Nathan, and Grace, Dr. Dickens Theodore, his wife Adrea, and their child Olivia, Johnny Theodore, his wife Nancie and their child Noah; her brother Lt. Colonel Renand Pierre-Louis, USArmy, Ret., and his children Ludwig, Rebecca, Cindy, Bernoulli, and Sebastien, the late Dr. Jean Pierre-Louis' widow, Nadine L. Pierre-Louis, his children Dr. Jean, and Dr. Michelle, the late Pinchinat Pierre-Louis' children McArthur (Bob), Patrick, Reginald, Pinchinat Jr. (Frero), Marco, Linda-Rachelle, L'Hile, and Hamel; her late sister Renée Kebreau's then husband Rev. Dr. Tony Kebreau and their children Rev. Edens, Natacha, Rev. Rudzmer (Rudy), and Cassandre (Cindy); numerous great nephews, great nieces and a multitude of other relatives and friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and strength.

Mrs. Theodore leaves behind a legacy of faith, resilience, service, and love that will continue to inspire all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to those whose lives she so deeply enriched.
