On Tuesday morning, June 4, 2024, Minnie B. Clark transitioned to her heavenly home.  She fell into a deep sleep and died peacefully.

Minnie was born 100 years ago to the late Louise Carman.  She received her early education in Greenville, North Carolina.  She graduated from high school with honors and followed up with many college courses during her lifetime.

Minnie married and moved to Virginia Beach, VA becoming the mother of 4 children.  She later moved to Boston, MA where she held many jobs first as a doctor's assistant with Dr. Jaffe and eventually a housing manager.

She saw a threat to the development where she lived and formed a cooperative called Marksdale Gardens.  Her outstanding work has resulted in a housing cooperative that has stood strong for over 45 years.  She is a hero among so many with her strength, wisdom and determination.

She was a most blessed and gifted person.  She was creative, being an excellent seamstress making hats, gowns and beautiful dresses.  She was a great cook known for her rolls and sweet potato pie. She had a knack for reading people and making people feel comfortable and loved.  She spoke her mind and words of wisdom soon followed.

She lived her life to the fullest enjoying the management of Marksdale Gardens especially along with her family and friends.

Minnie loved and believed in education.  She sent all her children to college and helped to send 30 young people there as well.  She and her church St. Mark's provided scholarships for students to attend college.

Minnie B. Clark was a superhero.  God granted her so many gifts. We are all so blessed because of her.
