Friends and relatives are advised of the death of Michael Fred Dixon, of St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, and his native Barbados, West Indies.  Michael passed away on December 24, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, Massachusetts. He was 84 years old.

Born on June 20, 1940, in Barbados, Michael spent his early years on the island before emigrating to the Virgin Islands in the early 1960s. A self-made businessman and skilled mechanic, he founded Courtesy Garage, Inc. in 1967.  Over the next four decades, Michael built a thriving business that earned him widespread respect for his dedication and expertise. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was an active member of his community, contributing to his local Anglican church and participating in organizations such as the Rotary Club and the Barbados Business Association.

Michael is lovingly remembered by his wife of 29 years, Linda; his children: Tracy, Michael, Jeffrey, Maurice, Ken, Mario, Mervin, and Jamell; his sister, Cynthia; and his former wife of 27 years, Geneva. He is also fondly remembered by his 18 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and his extended family in Barbados.

Michael's tireless work ethic and unwavering optimism left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His legacy of hard work and community involvement will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched. May his memory bring comfort and peace to those who mourn his passing.
