Melissa Ann Askew was born on April 25, 1967, in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Robert Mendes and Marguerite Nunes.  Melissa was called home on July 27, 2024.  She was raised in Massachusetts and later moved to Louisville, Kentucky.  Melissa was a home health care provider but throughout her days, did so much more.

Melissa is preceded in death by her parents Robert Mendes and Marguerite Nunes, her brother Jerry Nunes and her sister Ann Waters.

Melissa is survived by her children: Rhonica Moore, Ronald Moore, Michelle Moore-Bozora, Marguerite Moore, Iesha Askew and Robert Askew, Jr.  Siblings: Robert Nunes, Sr., Danny Nunes, Ariel Nunes, Nikki Nunes-McCabe, Ericka Nunes and Selena Nunes.  She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and a loving host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

As God has called her home, may she rest in the sweetest peace.
