Obituary

We remember our beloved Maxine Scott whose kind heart and infectious laugh touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts.

She became a wife and a mother to her three daughters Arlette, Deborah and Theresa.

Maxine worked for many years as an assembler for Northrop Grumman aircraft. She was a dedicated member of the Holy Tabernacle Church for over 40 years. While active there she sang in the choir, was a member of the Florist Club, Usher Board and an avid Sunday School student.

During her free time, she loved dining out with her family and attending church functions and community events. She absolutely loved shopping and traveling with her family and friends. She loved cruising around the world and meeting new people. Her favorite place was traveling to Africa. For years, she would go to Ghana for months at a time. Boston was her home, but Africa always held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy Pleasant and Frank Cook, her step father James Baldwin, her husband Jasper Scott and brother Frank Cook Jr.

She is survived by her three daughters: Arlette Coleman, Deborah Coleman, Theresa Greene (husband Tyrone Greene); her brothers Donald Cook, Souheib Ansari (wife Bilqis Ansari), Dwaine Cook and her sister Colette Moore (husband Alan Moore); her grandchildren Ramon Coleman, Shalayah Coleman, Jamie Hopkins, Michael Hopkins, Kyron Coleman, Briana Greene, Trey Moon and a host of over 30 great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and extended family members, including siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Maxine was a source of love and warmth to everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Maxine's kindness, generosity, and gentle nature touched the lives of many. Her memory will live on in all of our hearts.
