Mary Wright Scott said farewell to a blessed and loving earthly life and went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, January 09, 2025.

She was a native of Nansemond County, Virginia. She was born on February 22, 1933 to the late Elder Floyd R. Wright and Ruth Jones Wright.

She was raised in a home that honored and glorified God. She accepted Christ in her life. Mary became a member of the Apostolic Faith Holiness church, Suffolk, Va.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Scott Sr., two daughters, Miriam C. Scott, Christine Scott Williams, five sisters, Emma Wright Barrett, Mamie Wright Stewart, Della Wright Gary, Bessie Ruth Wright Johnson, Leslie Mae Watts, and six brothers, Cephas Wright, Alphonso Wright, Timothy R. Wright Sr., Vinson C. Wright, Charles Wright, Bishop James E. Wright Sr., and Aunt Tabitha Harrell. All of the late brothers and sisters-in-law whom she loved dearly and talked about them often.

Mary was educated in the public schools of Suffolk, Va., and graduated from East Suffolk High School. After high school Mary relocating to Boston, Ma.

Mary worked and held a position of customer service at a retail department store, and was a manager of a Laundry Service in Boston, Ma.

She was a member of Bethlehem Apostolic Faith Holiness Church of  God in Boston, Ma.  She was a faithful servant. She held the title of Mother of the Church, Missionary Sunday School Teacher, and the Helping Hand Ministry. Her life justified her love and labor for the Lord.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter; Esther Scott, two sons, William Scott Jr., and Kevin Scott all of Boston, Ma. Her sister Deborah Gibbs of Boston, Ma. Her brother Elvin Wright Sr., of Suffolk, Va.

She also leaves to cherish her memories a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
