Margaret was born October 21, 1946, in Riceville Tennessee, to Maddie Matlock and John Hammonds. When she was 13, she came to Boston, MA, to take care of her sick aunt. She later would have met, and married Edward Williams and they would have a baby girl she named Wanda. Wanda had gotten sick with lupus, but that would not stop Margaret from finishing getting her high school diploma and getting her associate degree in dietary. She later went on to marry Wallace Fincher. Amid their split she met Ronnie Where, they would raise their grandchildren after Wanda became ill, Anthony, Jessica, and Brandon, gaining the name Nanny.

Nanny ended up working at the VA for over 30 years. While she was there, she joined a choir called the Chosen Voices of Harmony. She loved to sing and fish. Nanny was a loving and caring person. She loved hard and always saw the good in people. Nanny is met in the afterlife by her mother, father, and her most loved daughter, Wanda. She is survived by her sister Olivia Josphine Hammond, her grandkids: Anthony Gunn Gandison and Jessica Gunn Morard, many nieces and nephews, along with great nieces and nephews. She leaves behind so many friends and family, Margaret was one of a kind and will never be forgotten
