Obituary

Margaret Marie Allen passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, February 12, 2025.

Born on January 5, 1935 in Durham. North Carolina, Margaret was the baby of 10 children born to Reverend Tillmon and Louise Porteat Bagley.  Margaret was a member of the Pilgrim Baptist Church where she was baptized by her father, the Reverend Tillmon Bagley.

Margaret attended Durham Public schools which included Hillside High School.

Margaret met the Love of her Life, Samuel T. Allen, and they married on

June 3. 1951.  They had five children, Wanda, Sandra, Dexter, Mary and Timmy.

Samuel and Margaret moved their family to Burlington, New Jersey to be close to Samuel's mother.  Years later, Margaret and her children mourned the loss of Samuel.

In 1971, Margaret and her family moved to Boston to be close to her sister, Maryalice, and her family.

Margaret was a loving, caring and supportive mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, aunt and friend.  She loved the Lord and her family.  She enjoyed attending the Bagley Family Reunions.

Margaret was the matriarch of dreams. she would say "someone is pregnant".

She would be right.  LOL

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Wanda (Arthur deceased), Sandra (William), Dexter, Mary, Timmy (Natalie), and Richard (Patricia), her grandchildren Damaine (Aisha), LeVar, Arthur (LeeJ), Shelby, Marini, Denise, Timmy, Tarrell, Dexter Jr., DuJuan, Dakori and Monica (Vernon), her great grandchildren, Arthur (Tre') Ayl, Asja, Layla, Hayden, Saraya, Tenaya, Temisha, Timmy Jr., T'mani, Mikayla, Infinity, Raven, Jaida, Tiara, Jakayla, Delray and Vernon Jr.

Her extended family, Albert, Jackie, James, Alexander, Alexia, Gianna, Laila, Isabel, Kadin, Javell Elijah and Azahias.  They loved her and will truly miss her.

As we celebrate the life of Mrs. Margaret M. Allen, we find comfort in knowing that she had a deep faith in God and everlasting love for her family and friends.

Her spirit will always be in our hearts.
