Luchie Raisa Abdal-Khallaq, age 36, of Boston, MA, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026.
Born on June 22, 1989, in Boston, MA, Luchie was the beloved daughter of Ayesha Abdal-Khallaq Rodriguez and Jack Marcelini. She was a Roxbury girlie who went on to complete her education as a paralegal and later moved into long-term administrative roles at Boston Medical Center.
Luchie means "Bringer of Light." She was indeed a bright light in the lives of many. She radiated beauty, strength, and kindness. She loved richly, though quietly. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her children, who were her everything. Her hobbies included reading, traveling, gardening, tending to animals, and exploring nature. She was an empathetic, spiritual woman who held deep beliefs.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Clocia; her maternal great-grandparents, Margaret and Oswald Leonard and Elva Lee and Malik Abdal-Khallaq; her paternal great-grandmother, Filinette Dorisca; and her grand-aunt, Carmen Louzia.
Luchie is survived by her mother and father, Ayesha and Jack; children, Wayne "Ryley" and Lulani Miller; siblings, Sweenda, Nadia, Jahlieca, Jack, William, and Moshe; and nephews, Aidan, Avery, Vincent, Lemuel, and Weston. Luchie is also survived by her grandparents, Jacob and Rose Abdal-Khallaq; aunts and uncles, Alenor (Hassan), Orlando (Lisette), Amina (Kyle), and Amira; and cousins, Raheem, Kyle "KJ," Amaya, Caleb, Zyion, Zora, and Zende. Luchie's children are shared with their father, Wayne Miller, who remains an important part of their lives. Luchie is also survived by a host of great- and grand-aunts and uncles, cousins, family, and friends. Luchie will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Her light, loving spirit, and legacy will continue to shine brightly through her family, friends, and all those who love her.
