Louise Elizabeth Murray, affectionately known as "Eliza" to her father, was born on April 22, 1926, to the late Adolph and Rosalie Wimberly of Georgia. Shortly after their marriage, the family relocated to Boston, Massachusetts, where they made their home for more than 73 years. Louise was part of a large family; her parents had sixteen children, five of whom survived into adulthood.

Louise attended the Hyde School on Hammond Street in Roxbury, an experience she later shared she enjoyed. However, due to family responsibilities, she was unable to complete her high school education.

As a young adult, Louise married Fredrick Cross, an Army serviceman. From this union, they were blessed with children: Fredrick Robert Cross, Jr., Gregory Cross, Roger Alan Cross, and Louise's eldest child and only daughter, Ms. P'Ann Wimberly, all of Boston, Massachusetts. Fredrick Cross, Sr., passed away at a very young age.

Some years later, Louise met and married Wallace Murray, also an Army veteran. Together, they had four sons: George Edward Murray, Ronald Louise Murray, Kevin Glen Murray, and Mark Steven Murray.

Louise was a devoted and hardworking mother. When her family needed support, she worked at the Hood Rubber Company and later with the Central Kitchen of the Boston Public School system, where she helped prepare school lunches.

In 1957, Louise gave her life to the Lord and was soon baptized at Bethel Pentecostal Church, where she became an active member of the adult choir. When she and her family later moved to a new community, Louise transferred her membership to Holy Tabernacle Church. There, she faithfully served on the Mother's Board, offering her support through prayer and faithful tithing.

Following a stroke in 2017, Louise became a resident of the Laurel Ridge Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Facility in Jamaica Plain. During her time there, she was lovingly supported and frequently visited by her devoted children, family and church missionaries. Even in this season, Louise remained steadfast in her faith. She consistently shared the message of salvation and her love for the Lord Jesus Christ with staff and visitors alike undeterred whether they listened or not.

From her bed, Louise would often sing aloud church hymns until her health no longer allowed. Staff and visitors frequently noticed her lips moving as she spoke softly; while some believed this signaled decline, her family lovingly explained that she was praying. This unwavering devotion to prayer and faith is a sacred legacy Louise leaves with her family and all who knew her well.

Louise's greatest joy was her love for Christ and her family. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, P'Ann; her sons, Gregory, George, Ronald (Patricia), Kevin, and Mark; along with generations of descendants—grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren—and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, too many to name but also too treasured not to include – each who held a special place in her heart.
