On Saturday, August 23, 2025, the quiet but robust spirit of Leslie Dixon took his wings and flew away to eternal rest. He put up a great fight all the way to the end. Leslie will be forever remembered for his infectious laughter and radiant smile.

Leslie Dixon was born to the late Rosa Mae and H.K. Dixon of Boston, Massachusetts. He was baptized at Grant A.M.E. Church on September 16, 1979, at the age of 17 by Reverend Leodis Strong. Leslie graduated from West Roxbury High School in West Roxbury, Massachusetts in June 1980 and continued his education, graduating from Fisher College. Known affectionately as "Silk" and "Light," Leslie could always brighten someone's day with his radiant smile and thunderous laughter. He was easy-going and humble throughout his life, possessing many talents and working diligently as a volunteer cook with United Way for local shelters. Leslie's greatest joys were cooking and savoring his favorite Chardonnay wine.

Leslie had a heart of gold and would do anything to help others—he was his mother's child. He worked part-time at Macy's in the Men's Department, helping to dress everyone for success. His true joy came from his work at Instron in Canton, Massachusetts, in the Sales Department, where he remained until his health began to decline.

Love continuously poured from Leslie's heart. He had a vibrant personality and was sure to extend a loving gesture or warm smile to anyone he encountered. He was nurturing to all and served as an inspiration to many. Leslie was the type of person who would call you unexpectedly just to find out how you were doing or how things were going, reaching out to family members and friends both in state and out of state. Leslie helped raise his godchildren Monroe and Juliette Fowler (deceased) and his nephew Corey Gray, supporting his cousin Denise Fowler and brother Anthony Dixon (deceased) in raising their children. He lived his life to the fullest, traveling coast to coast. He especially loved Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.

Leslie was a warm, loving, open-hearted gentle spirit who had a passion for fashion, cooking, and tending to his many plants. All who came in contact with him knew his bright smile, distinctive laughter, unselfishness, quick wit, and spunky nature.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Anthony Cozel Dixon and Gary Allen Dixon Sr. The precious memories of his life will be forever cherished by his beloved sisters Pamela Dixon and Cynthia Dixon-Patterson (Wayne) of Boston, Massachusetts; his brothers Kenneth L. Dixon Sr., Daniel Dixon Sr., Eric Jones, and Jermaine Butts of Boston, Massachusetts; his godmother Juanita Vivens and godsister Sharon Vivens, both of Apex, North Carolina; his godson Monroe Fowler and special nephew Corey Gray; special friends DonRenee' Lewis, Tammi Offley, and Fred Ward, along with a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends
