With solemn reverence, we commemorate the life of Leonard Cooper, of Dorchester, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving behind cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Christina Cooper, and brother, Horace Cooper.

Leonard is survived by and was deeply loved and will be forever remembered by his devoted wife, Dian Cooper of Dorchester, MA. His children, Leonard Alvin Cooper of Baltimore, MD, Michelle Cooper of Dallas, TX, Chantai Brighton of Boston, MA, Lloyd Brighton of Boston, MA, and granddaughter, Hannah Brighton of Boston, MA. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Anna Brighton, and his siblings:  Janet (Wilton) James of Quincy, MA, Eutrice (Samuel) Guy of Randolph, MA, Roland (Patricia) Cooper of Taunton, MA, Alphage (Gloria) Cooper of Tobago, Amoryll Cooper of Quincy, MA, Cedric (Rodgrica) Cooper of Houston, Texas, Lorn (Cheryl) Cooper of Boston, MA, Elvis (Veneranda) Cooper of Weymouth, MA, and his later brother Horace's wife, Philomena Cooper. In addition, Leonard leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins from the US, Caribbean, Canada, and Europe who love him dearly.

Leonard's circle of love extended to his dear friends and especially, Sterling Stewart, Carlos Jack, and Alva Guy of Tobago, West Indies, and Steve Pine of Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
