Larlei Janet Woods entered into this world on April 21, 1940 in Harvey West Virginia, and she departed this life on April 14, 2025. Larlei was the second of five children.

Larlei resided in West Virginia until she graduated. Once she graduated, Larlei moved to New York to be with family. While living in New York she gave birth to her first child where she remained until 1964. Larlei then moved to Boston to be with family there. Larlei lived a productive life and was blessed to have two more children. She was a very hard worker and took very good care of her children.

Larlei found Christ at Southern Baptist Church under the ministry of the Late Rev. James C. Chance.

Larlei worked as an N.A. at various nursing homes along with working as a Ward Clerk and then becoming a CNA which is something she truly enjoyed. She loved helping others, or should I say "being in charge". Larlei did this for 30 plus years. In those 30 years, she went from working in Nursing homes and then to Mattapan Hospital, the one place that actually prompted her to become a CNA. After years of working as a CNA she decided it was time for a change, which is when she began working in dietary at Boston City Hospital (now known as Boston Medical Center) until she retired.

After years of working and then retired she re-entered to Christ at Southern Baptist Church under the ministry of Pastor James Harris.

Larlei then joined the Southern Baptist Church Missionary, which she truly loved. She continued her work there until her health would no longer allow her too.

Larlei loved arts C crafts, crossword puzzles, scratch tickets, a good game of spades and occasional trips to the casino, but her all time favorite was bowling. More importantly, she loved hanging out with family but never left home without her bag of snacks.

Things Larlei enjoyed the most while living at the Foley Residence was implementing the Foley Market (which was a success until COVID-19)

and Joining the CITIZEN ADVISORY BOARD (C.A.B) which allowed her to meet with the Mayor and several City of Boston Dignitaries.

Larlei was a person who loved to be seen and heard, and when she spoke, she always spoke on behalf of all Senior Citizens, not just herself.

Larlei leaves to cherish her loving memories her daughter, Y'Londa Woods-Foreman and her husband Eric Foreman of Brockton, Ma., Son James Woods of Mattapan Ma., Sister Terri Jones and her husband Kenneith Jones of Tampa Florida, Brother Rondal Woods of Hyde Park, Ma. Granddaughter, Shavonne Bowden, 2 great grandchildren Savion C Saylor Bowden, Nieces Rhonda Woods of Laurel, MD, Akeyla Woods of Alexandria, VA., Nephew Wayne Woods C his Wife Charnita Woods of North Attleboro, MA., her cousin Mona Tucker (who is like a sister) of Hyde Park, Ma, Sister in law Norma Bailey, her Delaware, New York and Washington D.C. Family and a host of other relatives and Friends.

Preceded in death by; Her Mother, Gladys Woods, Her Oldest son, William Woods, her brother Raiford Woods, her sister Roxanne Greene and her sister in- law Linda C. Woods.
