Obituary

Kevin M. Garcia lived a life full of warmth, laughter, and connection. He embraced every moment, filling his days with love and the people who mattered most to him. Whether he was cooking a meal, playing a game of dominoes, or spending time with loved ones, Kevin always found a way to bring people together.

Born on August 16, 1959, Kevin was the beloved third child of Domingo and Lillian Garcia, who preceded him in death. He grew up in Dorchester, Massachusetts, and graduated from Newton North High School, excelling in both sports and theater. He later took classes at Roxbury Community College before pursuing his passion as a chef, sharing his love for food with those around him.

Kevin found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He loved bowling, playing horseshoes, karaoke, cards, and dominoes, and was always ready for a lively gathering with friends at the park. A true sports fan, he never missed a game, and he had a special love for scary movies, sci-fi, and traveling.

At home, Kevin took great pride in maintaining the landscaping and creating a welcoming space for those he cared about. His heart was especially full when he was with his girlfriend, Jo Anne Brito, and her family. Her grandchildren lovingly called him "Papa" or "Grandpa", a title he held with deep affection.

Kevin's love extended far and wide, leaving an indelible mark on his family and friends. He is survived by his sisters Cynthia and Laura, and his brother Anthony. His son Kevin Jr. of Kentucky, and granddaughter Nyla Garcia, will always carry his love with them. His niece Maxine Hartley of Florida, and great-nieces Morgan and Breanna Hartley of Florida, along with his cousin Karen Agard and niece Aleisha Agard of Boston, will remember him with deep affection. A host of extended family, nieces, nephews, and cousins will continue to honor his memory.

Kevin was more than just a loved one—he was a light, a friend, and a source of comfort to everyone who knew him. His kindness, humor, and unwavering love will be missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to share in his journey.

As we say goodbye, we hold onto the love and memories he gave us, knowing that his presence will never truly fade.

Rest in peace, Kevin. You are deeply loved, and you will never be forgotten
