Kathleen Yvonne Evans-Everett (formerly Sailsman) was born on April 22, 1953, in Boston, MA to Evelyn Pearl Washington, originally of Beckley, West Virginia and Kenneth Sailsman Sr., originally of Kingston, Jamaica. Kathleen lived a full life and departed this world on September 20, 2024.

Kathleen received her early education in the Boston public schools. She later attended Girls' High, graduated from the Boston Police Academy, and obtained an associate's degree from Fisher College. Kathleen briefly served in the Boston PD before she retired due to injury. She spent subsequent years working in retail and security while being a full-time homemaker.

Kathleen was united in holy matrimony to Victor W. Everett, Jr. (now deceased) on April 26, 1986. She was mother to four children: Nova Gelin (Evans), James Evans, Aaron Everett, and David Everett. She was also blessed with nine "grandbabies," – Reginald, Dimitri, Zakiah, Nehemiah, Ava, Andre, Angel, Jadi, and Cassandra. She is survived by her four siblings: Esseleen, Steven, Rosemary, and Kenneth and many nieces and nephews. Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Kathleen loved art and enjoyed painting and drawing. She was a great seamstress and made many items of clothing for her friends and family. As a teenager, she was even in a fashion show for the Mayor of Boston and made a robin's-egg blue dress that won first place in the competition. She liked bowling and as a younger woman, she was part of a bowling league where she won many trophies. Kathleen loved to travel and was always ready to go on a cruise to the Caribbean. She traveled to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Mexico, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, the Bahamas and spent some time in Florida with her brother Kenny. She loved science fiction and read many novels including the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Harry Potter, and Dean Koontz. She was even a self-proclaimed "Trekky." She spent hours watching the SyFy channel – Dr. Who reruns, Men in Black and cartoons with the grandkids.

Kathleen was truly a one-of-a-kind and she will be missed by her family and friends. Her life and memory will long be remembered. As God has called her home, may she rest in the sweetest peace.
