Juanita Jones, a devoted wife, loving mother, and retired childcare provider transitioned to heaven on July 26, 2024.

Born to the late Jasper Cribb and Jessie Hilton on July 15th 1936 in Mullens, SC. Junita was the oldest of ten siblings whom she was remarkably close to and very instrumental in their upbringing.

In 1957 Juanita married her childhood love Bradford H. Jones and had three children Deborah Torrence, Bradford Jones Jr., and Valerie Blocker. Bradford and Juanita also embraced raising cousins Ida Joyce and Mark Walker.

Juanita was a nurturing soul and natural born caretaker. Being the eldest of ten siblings she instilled wisdom, strength, and compassion which she always showed to others. She was a childcare provider for fifteen years and prided herself on having an environment where children would excel, be safe, and happy all while having the best home cooked meals. Juanita was one of the best cooks and anyone that ever had her meals could attest to that.

After retiring as a childcare provider Juanita spent all her time with her family. She enjoyed taking care of her husband and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In June of 2021 her lifelong love passed away which led Juanita to relocate to Florida where she lived with her two daughters and son-in-law's. During her last years of life, she enjoyed the warm Florida sun which was relaxing for her because she loved the heat. Juanita had an unbreakable spirit. She was someone who was often quiet but always listening. She was someone who showed her love by always being there for others. She always showed strength, love, and care beyond measure. Juanita had a way of connecting with others just by her presence and hospitality. She always had an open home, and you could always find her in her kitchen standing by the stove. She loved to have company and cook for others. Going to 43 Ormond Street was a safe haven for many of us.

Juanita will be lovingly remembered by her children Deborah, Brad Jr., and Valerie. Her sons-in-laws William and Aaron. Her siblings Jasper Jr., Geraldine (Richard Scott), Jackie, Mary, Millie, and Ronny. Proceeded in death by Frances, James, and Thomas. Juanita also leaves behind her grandchildren Ashley and Amanda, two great grandchildren Nilah and Peyton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
