Joseph Eubanks, Jr. transitioned into rest at his home in Dorchester, Massachusetts in December 2025. He was born to two loving parents, Joseph Eubanks, Sr. and Dr. Ann Marie Green Eubanks, PhD, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded by his maternal grandparents, Lealon and Josie L. Green, and paternal grandparent, Lillie Eubanks.
Joseph was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Dorchester, Massachusetts where he served faithfully. Joseph also worked with many organizations in the Boston Community. He attended the Boys' Latin High School and received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
Joseph was incredibly active in electoral politics and community organizing helping to elect multiple local legislators. He was an active member of the Garrison Trotter Neighborhood Association, Black Net Worth Development Corporation and frequented many community meetings, the Egleston Branch of the Boston Public Library and added great value to community discourse throughout Roxbury. He was a kind and gentle soul and was beloved by all.
Joseph leaves to cherish his memory: three loving aunts, Sarah Bernice Mealing of Queens Village, New York, Mildred Rogers of Dorchester, Massachusetts, and Alstyne Green Martin of North Augusta, South Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends.
