In loving memory of John Wesley Young III, who entered the world on December 13th, 1966, to the late John Wesley II and Barbara Young. John's life journey was rich with experiences, from his formative years in cities like Detroit to his eventual return to his beloved Boston, Massachusetts. He dedicated himself to education, graduating from Cambridge Ridge and Latin School in 1985 and later earning an associate's degree in political science from Roxbury Community College, where he was a proud recipient of the Project Reach scholarship. He resided in Boston MA until his sudden passing on February 13th, 2024.

John's passion for community and activism was evident throughout his life, as he tirelessly worked to uplift neighborhoods in Roxbury, MA. An avid driver, he found joy in his work, from owning a neighborhood driving business to chauffeuring as a limo driver, and ultimately driving buses for Chelsea and Boston Yankee Lines.

Family meant everything to John, and he cherished every moment spent with his sister Jolene and cousin Stephanie, affectionately known as the "3 Commandos." His marriage to Carmen Lopes in 2013 brought him immense happiness, and they shared over a decade of love and companionship.

John leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, remembered fondly by his aunts Bettye Harris and Janice Watts, nieces Jael Georges and Jenneille Georges, nephews Rasheed Bostic, cousins Michelle Gomillion, LaToya Watts, Jerina Harris, and a multitude of loving family and friends. While he is reunited with those who preceded him in death, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were touched by his warmth and generosity. John's radiant smile and selfless nature will be dearly missed but forever treasured.
