On the early morning of August 31, 2024, John Eason Sr., 62, of Dorchester, was called to his heavenly resting place.

John was born on September 7, 1961, to the late Timothy J. Eason and Norma I. Eason (Gomes) in Roxbury, MA, where many of his childhood memories came from.

At a young age, John's father taught him to work on cars, which fostered a life-long passion for vehicles. After he graduated from Boston High, he excelled as an auto body repair technician. John was a jack-of-all-trades and was never afraid to get his hands dirty. Whether it was helping out a family member or friend, he was always working or fixing something. He will always be remembered as a person you could always count on when needed. John was also passionate about traveling and fishing, in which he created many memories with.

John is predeceased by his father, Timothy J. Eason, his mother Norma I. Eason, and his sister, Janice M. Gaylore.

John is survived by his three sons, John Eason, Jr. and wife Lymari Eason, Jeramie Eason, and Jonathan Eason, and 6 grandchildren: Jeziah, Jaymonie, Janiah, Jalianny, Jeramie Jr., and Jax Eason. His sisters, Norma B. Eason, Catherine Eason, Gertrude (Trudi) Eason, Hope M. Eason, Dessa M. Eason, and brother Timothy J. Eason, along with a loving host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
