Jody Morris, 82, of Roxbury, Massachusetts, passed away on January 1, 2026. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gladstone and Eudene Morris; her brothers, Gene and Robert Morris; and her sister, Evelyn Arlene Toney.

A two-time cancer survivor, Jody lived her life on her terms---with resilience, and determination. She was a longtime Boston Public School teacher, dedicating her career to educating and uplifting generations of students. Teaching was more than a profession for Jody—it was a calling, and her impact will be felt for years to come.

Jody was fiercely independent, passionate, and feisty, with a love for life and learning. She was an avid traveler, a proud supporter of the Buffalo Soldiers, and deeply enjoyed gardening and photography, finding beauty both in nature and through the lens of her camera.

She is survived by her brother Earl "Carl" Morris, her sisters Ethelyn Morris and Marguerite Morris, and a loving host of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews, as well as many friends. She was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, remembered for her strength, honesty, and unwavering spirit.

Jody Morris leaves behind a legacy of perseverance, passion, and love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
