Mrs. Joanne Patterson, 83, was born July 4, 1940 in Cherryville, North Carolina to the late Clyde Patterson and Annie Belle Garland Patterson. She transitioned to her heavenly home on Saturday, July 29, 2023.

Jo as she was affectionately known, moved to Boston, and worked at Shane's Cleaners for a few years. She met her late husband, Hal "Tony" Adamson. Jo loved to cook and care for her family. She was always the person that people went to when they needed a someone or something.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers William Clyde Patterson, Harry James Patterson, and Wayne Patterson and her sister, Linda Mae Patterson. Her beloved grandson, Harvey James Patterson, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories, sons, Richard Patterson, Harvey Patterson, Sr., William Jackson, Keith Norris,  Nathan Jackson, and David Benton; daughters, Joyce Ann Patterson, Shiekeishia Jackson, Kwonia Jackson, and Natasha Jackson all of Boston, Mass. Cousin. Geneva Kingwood, the family matriarch. Sisters, Robin Patterson Mauney (Michael) and Patricia Love of Gastonia, North Carolina. Two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Patterson of Detroit, MI and Mary Patterson of Cherryville, North Carolina. Her grandchildren, Rico, Naporcha, Isaias, Diron, Micah, Amira, Halley, Sadida, Lateef, James, Teshari, Earl, Antoine, Katrica, Keith, Dominae, Damien, Dashawn, Naheim, Zaliyah, and Zaniyah. Three great-grandchildren, Mary-Elise, Willie, and Nyla, and a host of other relatives and friends.
