Jimmy Lee Davis affectionately called "Uncle Jim ", was born in Pavo, Georgia to William Brad Davis and the Beautiful Eula Mae Fowler-Davis. He was the 11th child born out of 14 siblings. He was educated in the Georgia public school system, and after finishing school, he moved to Boston, Massachusetts to be closer to some of his other siblings that was already here. He worked various jobs until he landed a job working at the Boston Housing Authority, for over 23 years until he retired. In the 1970s, after the passing of his beloved sister Annie Lee Davis he gave his life to GOD and fully committed his walk to his LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

He was a very quiet, humble and simple man that had an abundance of love for his family and his friends. He enjoyed watching old western movies and cooking his favorite meals - southern style.

He was very passionate about singing and he had a very unique voice. He joined a gospel group with his siblings, in the early 1980s named after his youngest sister called "Luvenger Booker and the Disciples". In the early 2000's, he joined Community Revival and Outreach Ministry and sang in the church choir. One of his proudest moments was becoming an Ordained Deacon by Pastor William H. Watkins, Sr. One thing that Deacon Davis loved to do on Sunday mornings was to bless the congregation with his unique and extraordinary talent by singing songs like "Everybody ought to praise his name", "The gospel train" along with his signature song "Satan the blood of Jesus be against you".

Deacon Davis was a faithful tither and giver up until the very end; and beyond his passing to honored GOD by giving his final tithes and offering.

In his meek and unique voice, he would often say "Let everything that has breath, Praise Ye The LORD", "let the works that I have done speak for me", and "well done my good and faithful servant".

Uncle Jimmie was proceeded in death by his beautiful sisters: Annie Lee Davis, Lorena Boston, Charlie Mae Howard, Luvenger Booker, and Flossie Mae Woods along with his brothers, Johnny Davis Sr, Leonard Davis, Eugene Davis, Robert Davis, Larry Davis, and William "Tiny "Davis who died in infancy and his longtime companion Elizabeth Robinson.

He leaves behind to cherish his wonderful memories, as he will truly be missed by his older Sister: Luella Davis-Tyler and his younger brother: Arthur Lee Davis, Sr.; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and a host of Family and friends. He was truly loved and adored by all who knew him for his kindhearted and giving ways. You fought a good fight rest in peace Uncle Jim a job well done. Another Angel got his wings, sing Brother and Uncle in the heavenly choir.
