With heavy hearts and deep love, we celebrate the life of Jasmine Phylicia Reeves, affectionately known by family and friends as Jazzy, Jazzy, and Wazz. Jasmine was born on February 9, 1990, to Andre L. Reeves, Sr. and Louise M. Peddy.

Jasmine received her education in the Boston Public School system. She attended Nathan Hale Elementary School, Roxbury Prep. Middle School, and Another Course to College (ACC) High School, later earning her diploma from South Boston High School. During her Middle school years, Jasmine played basketball for one season. She was known for her outstanding defense, although scoring points was not always her specialty. One unforgettable family story was when she scored her very first basket, in the wrong hoop, and celebrated with excitement before realizing her mistake. It became a cherished memory that brought laughter to everyone who knew her. Jasmine also participated in a summer basketball league with her cousins under the coaching of her Uncle Derric.

Jasmine had a passion for hairstyling and beauty. Following high school, she attended Empire Beauty School in Downtown Boston and later at the Malden campus. She enjoyed helping others look and feel their best through her creativity and talent. Jasmine also worked as a Customer Service Representative for Boston Escape, where she was known for her warm personality and willingness to help others.

More than anything, Jasmine loved her children. They were the center of her life and her greatest source of joy. She was a loving mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. Jasmine possessed a generous heart and was always willing to help anyone in need.

She was also known for being strong-minded and opinionated. Whether she was right or wrong, Jasmine made sure her voice was heard. Once she had something to say, she was determined to say it. Yet beneath that strong exterior was a gentle, caring soul. She could give tough love, when necessary, but she also had a tender heart full of compassion and understanding.

Though life was not always easy, Jasmine continued to care deeply for others. Her strength, honesty, humor, and love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

She also leaves a host of godbrothers, godsisters, cousins, best friends, friends, and her beloved mother figure, Lisa Porter, along with many other relatives and loved ones whose lives she touched.
