Jamal D. Palmer, son of Rhodshon Palmer-Johnson and belated father Johnnie Lee Vaughan and Carl Johnson was born on February 24, 1986, in Boston, Massachusetts and departed this life on July 19, 2024.

Jamal was a member at union United Methodist church along with his siblings where he was a liturgical dancer, part of the youth choir, an usher, an acolyte and a member of the church basketball team. He later started a basketball league with close friends.

Jamal attended Boston Public Schools and pursued studies in Auto Mechanics and Culinary at Madison Park High School. He furthered his education at Bunker Hill Community College, studying Liberal Arts. Jamal was known for his athletic abilities. He played basketball locally and played on AAU and was part of the no books no ball league.

An ambitious entrepreneur and business leader, Jamal founded his own trucking business called OTP (Only the Palmers). Before this, he worked for various companies including FedEx, UPS, Amazon, Lifeline Ambulance Services, and Target. His family fully supported his ambitions as Jamal would share ideas with them.

Having been nurtured by his parents, family was a top priority for Jamal. He was dedicated to raising his children with Cerise Rabb. Jamal was a proud and loyal father to his sons and cherished family time including vacations and attending all of their extra-curricular activities.

The life and memory of our loved one shall long be remembered. Jamal was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Lee Vaughn Jr. Jamal leaves to honor his legacy, his sons: Jamal Palmer Jr., Jamir Palmer, Jamare Palmer; Parents: Rhodshon Palmer-Johnson and Carl Johnson; Sisters: Cherrell Palmer and Kaniesha Johnson-Palmer; Brothers: Terrell Carle, Carl Johnson; Grandparents: Norma Vaughn and Flora Johnson; late grandfathers: Johnnie Lee Vaughn Sr., Benjamin Newton and Joseph Johnson and late grandmother Rebecca Palmer; Nieces and Nephews: Erykah P. Jackson, Semaj Johnson-Cedeno, Supreme Johnson-Cedeno, Sunni Ali Johnson-Cedeno, August Carle and host of other nieces and nephews; Partner Cerise Rabb and loving parents Cynthia and Gene Rabb; Aunts and Uncles: Clarence Debnam, Laura Barner, Vivian (Theodore Sheffield), Clara Gousby, Lisa Palmer (Herbert Glover),Vaughn Family: Dwayne Vaughn (Valencia), De Nise Berry(Alonzo), De Sheila Vaughn(Steve), Printess Vaughn, Terri Vaughn (Alix); Johnson Family: James(Mary), Joanne, Jeanette, Jacqueline, Paul (Sarah), Michelle (Raf), Tonia (Pascal), Ricky, and bonus aunt Indigo Crawford (Bernard Patnett).
