Harry L.
Anthony
Aug 17, 1951 — Jan 12, 2026
Harry L. Anthony transitioned peacefully on January 10, 2026. Harry L. Anthony was born in Roxbury, MA on August 17, 1951, to the parents of George & Mabel Anthony. Harry was a widower of Caroline A. Anthony. He is a proud graduate of the Boston Public Schools and excelled at electronics and became an engineer at many reputable companies like Polaroid, Raytheon, and Teradyne Cooperation for 42 years. He drove over 40 minutes both ways and worked 5 days a week. Just strong and consistent in life with everything he did. Harry was an excellent free-lance photographer; he did fashion shows and weddings, which were his favorite. When Harry showed up, he always had his camera ready, he was happiest taking pictures. He was the life of the party at times, and he loved music, especially Motown, Jazz on Sundays, and R&B on the weekends. He always had some type of soft music playing in the background.
Harry walked with intention and purpose; he was a focused gentlemen's gentlemen. Harry loves sports, watching his beloved Patriots football team and Boston Celtics Basketball (We knew not to call during the game.). He was so dedicated to everything he loved. Harry will be remembered as a Good Guy and always "showed up"! Now, it's time to rest after a life well lived with family, loving relationships, travel, career of 42 years, and most of all, all the great impact and influence he had on so many people with his conversations. He will be missed, dearly.
He was predeceased by his parents George & Mable Anthony, wife Caroline A. Anthony, and sister Alicia Holloway.
He is survived by his caring, loving, consistent, caretaker until the end, his only child and daughter, Dorothy "Dot" Bowers or Roxbury, MA, grandchildren Tariq Ransey or Boston, MA and Nefertari Ramsey of California. He is also survived by his sister Nany Anthony of North Carolina, Nieces Cassandra Gill and Kinberly Holloway of North Carolina, and a loving host of great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
