George Leon "Bo" Wright, also known as George Wright, passed away peacefully leaving behind a legacy of love, strength and quiet dignity. George was born on June 18, 1940, in Vance County Henderson, North Carolina to Hettie Cooper and George Wright. At the age of 19 George decided to seek a better life in Boston Massachusetts with the help of his Uncle John and Aunt Elizabeth Cooper.

He began building his life in Massachusetts. Though hundreds of miles away he would call his mother often. Early in his career, George worked at Tremont Clothing Company as a clothing inspector. He would carefully examine garments to ensure proper construction and quality.

George found love and married Jamesetta Hampton. Together they shared 25 years of marriage and built a family with their two children, Belinda Wright and Michael Wright. The family resides in Mattapan Massachusetts. George departed from Tremont Clothing Company and accepted a job with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) as a train conductor. His attention to his duties on the trains ensured safe and reliable transportation for countless riders.

George assisted his wife Jamesetta in establishing a business as a neighborhood care provider. Together they both provided a safe, caring educational environment for local children. This was the perfect way to show their commitment to community services.

After George retired from the MBTA he accepted a job at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds as a Clerk. He assisted the public by copying and delivering required requested documents. During his tenure at the Registry of Deeds Jamesetta transitioned after a brief illness. George shortly retired from the registry.

In retirement, George found happiness and companionship with Irene, sharing many loving years together. They traveled throughout the East Coast—from Canada to Florida—by bus, train, plane, and cruise ship, enjoying each journey side by side. George also loved sports. He played softball in Boston Parks leagues, sometimes on three teams at once.  He also enjoyed pitching horseshoes and playing on a Monday billiards team.

A devoted father, family man, and friend, George was quiet and humble, with a gentle spirit, warm smile, and a love of laughter that lifted those around him. He will be remembered for his kindness, steady presence, and the way he showed up for the people he loved—reminding us that what matters most is humility, compassion, and sharing simple times together. He is survived by his Brother Henry Davis, his children, Belinda and Michael; his grandson, Cedrik, granddaughter Tiffanie; and six great grands and many nices, nephews, cousins and friends.
