Eugene
Searcy
Sep 20, 1953 — Aug 21, 2023
Boston
Eugene Searcy was born on September 20, 1953, to the late George Sr. and Ola Mae Hollis Searcy in Thomaston, GA. He was 1 of 14 children.
He was educated in the Thomaston Public School system until he moved to Boston at the age of 17 where he attended Dorchester High School. Gene started his long-term work career at Polaroid where he met the love of his life, Pamela Foreman, in 1983. They united in marriage in November 2006. This union spanned over four decades. Together they raised, molded, and shaped four dear grandchildren along with a multitude of other young lives.
Gene brought his southern hospitality everywhere he went. His charismatic nature made every stranger he met an instant friend. Everybody loved Gene in their own special way. More than anything, Gene loved his family and friends. He had a way of making everyone around him feel special. If Gene loved you, he made sure to let everyone know.
You could often find Gene behind a video camera. Gene recorded football games for Pop Warner Football for over 25 years. When Gene wasn't making videos, he was creating playlists of his favorite music for his friends and family. Of all his hobbies, Gene loved to grill. Anyone who knew Gene loved his famous Gene Q ribs.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Mary, Melvin, Baby Boy Searcy, Vesta, Lonnie, Lottie, Bernard, Ketih, and Freddie. Gene leaves to mourn his wife Pam; his children: Desmond, Alonzo, Robert, Kenya, and Dwayne; his grandchildren: Tamara, Kadache, Kendrell, Kaylin, Kaleb, Kyrese, Stacey Crystal, Shawn, Carnel, Alexis, Markevin, Honesty, Nylah, CJ, Devonte, Robert Jr., Kiana, Quentin, Jada, Janya, and Ellisia; his god granddaughter Madison; his siblings: Jesse (Sheila), George, Geneva, and Anderson (Tomp)(Dorothy); his mother-in-law Rosalie; sisters-in-law Jan (Willie), Tina, and brother-in- law Howard; his sisters-in-law Maxine and Nadine Searcy along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
