Esther Mae Pendleton, who passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, in Boston, Massachusetts at the age of 82, had a rich life filled with family and love. She was born on January 2, 1942, in Belle Ellen, Alabama to Maggie and Will Parker. Esther spent her early years in Birmingham, Alabama, until she married and moved to Boston, Massachusetts with her husband and young children.

She was cherished as a devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend. Esther's joyous spirit touched the lives of many through her kindness, sense of humor, infectious smile, passion for playing spades and love for cooking.

Esther Pendleton is survived by her husband Jimmie Lee Pendleton, her daughters Janice Pendleton-Taylor (Thomas) and Jaqueline Pendleton, nine grandchildren: Rontear Pendleton, Andre Pendleton, Jantrice Pendleton, Marquis Pendleton (Julianna), Jazmine Pendleton, Binbarius Coleman, Jelanie Pendleton, Dakota Pendleton, Cierra McGuire, and eight great-grandchildren: Cameron Whatley, Marquis Pendleton Jr., Jael Farmer, Bella Foster, Jordan Farmer, Reign Pendleton, Rome Pendleton, and Ryn Pendleton. She is also survived by her sisters Joann Underwood and Betty Mims, her brothers Larry and Raymond Mims, siblings-in-love Earline, Maurice and Louis Guin, god-daughter Vanessa Charity, close family friend Jerry Farmer and a host of nieces and nephews. Esther was preceded in death by her sons Jimmy Lee Pendleton Jr. and Roderick Pendleton.

Esther Mae Pendleton's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.
