Doris A
Williams
Apr 9, 1945 — Apr 16, 2025
Doris Ann Williams born April 9, 1945 died Wednesday April 16, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Chandler (Union, Alabama) and the late Annie Mae Craig (Bessemer, Alabama). Doris was the beloved mother of John, Bruce, Timothy and Sean Williams and his wife Christina. Doris leaves behind her grandchildren Darrell and Khayree Hudson and Avery Williams and, great grandson Emoni Pires-Hudson. Doris was the sister of Robert Taylor, the late James William, the late Calvin Taylor, Larry Taylor, Marva Alcindor, Mary Youngblood, Brenda Craig-Long, Tracey Craig, Geraldine (Jay) Craig and Cheri Craig-Smalls. Doris also leaves behind a sister in law, two brothers in laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that loved her very much.
Doris was a loving and giving woman. She loved to talk with people and give them any help that she could. Doris was a Boston Public school bus driver for many years as well as a driver for the MBTA. We will always remember that she attended church and how much she loved to read the bible. She loved to shop, spending hours in the mall and usually not buying, as she was an avid window shopper. She was also known to occasionally visit the casino. Doris loved the color blue and one of our fondest memories is her driving her blue Buick Regal.
Doris always called her mother several times during the day. They were not just mom and daughter but best friends. Doris visited her mother often if not daily. During the latter years of her mom's life she would visit her, sit and watch over her, holding her hand. Our Mothers death hit Doris very deeply. Now that they have both entered eternal sleep, may they both rest in peace.
