Doris Jean Williams Maxwell was born on January 27, 1951, in Moscow, Tennessee to the parents of Darlene (Dolly) Williams and I.C. Williams. As a child growing up, she attended school in Moscow, TN. When she married Ezell Maxwell, they relocated to Chicago where she had two sons: Kenneth Maxwell and Kevin Maxwell. Years later, after her divorce, Doris and her sons left Chicago and moved to Boston, MA, where she reunited with family and started a new chapter.

Doris cherished her family and enjoyed it when they all came together for celebrations and family gatherings. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing in the mirror and watching old westerns.

Doris was predeceased by both of her parents; I.C. & Darlene Williams, her son Kenneth Maxwell, and brother Herbert Williams.

To cherish her memories, Doris leaves behind her son Kevin Maxwell, 8 grandchildren; Kerren McKenney, Malik Maxwell, Devin Maxwell, Kenneth Maxwell, Jr., Kordell Maxwell, Kevin Williams Maxwell, Jr., Jerrod Williams Maxwell, Imani Williams Maxwell, 6 sisters, 1 brother and a host of cherished, nieces, nephews, and friends.
