Dawn Carol Simpson was born in Jamaica on September 26, 1947, she was the first child of Hyacinth Forsythe and Victor Simpson. She departed this life on Monday Nov 6, at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

After migrating with her dad and stepmom to the United States in 1965, she continued her high school education at the Girl's School of Boston, then moved on to Boston University before finishing her dental studies at Meharry Dental School in Tennessee.  She returned to Boston and worked in several of the local dental clinics before joining the Harvard University Dental Clinic where she worked as a dental hygienist until her retirement.

Dawn was very active in her church, St. Mark Congregational Church in Roxbury where she was a Deaconess, Treasurer, and member of the choir.  Dawn was a humble and kind person; the simplest pleasures in life brought her great joy.  She loved cooking and baking and would delight in preparing and sharing her great tasting Jamaican dishes with her friends, the local Jamaican group in Boston and her church family. She enjoyed sharing her recipes with her family.  Dawn loved life, she loved her family and was a true and dear friend to many; she had different groups of friends based on the multiple facets of her life and everyone loved and respected her.

She was predeceased by her mom, her dad and brother Everton.

Dawn is dearly loved and will be missed by her stepmom Pat Simpson, her sisters Sharon, Geneve, Dorothy, Charmaine, Judith, Heather, Michelle, and Christine; brothers Conway, Linworth, Donovan, Stephen, Kingsley, Wayne, Lyndon, and Horace, her nieces, nephews, cousins, along with many friends.  She will be truly missed by all, but her memories will always live on.
