Darick was born November 11,1964 in Farmville, North Carolina. He was born to father, Albert Earl Newton and mother, Jennie Elizabeth Bunn (Wade), who preceded him in death. Darick was blessed to have had a second set of parents, Uncle Sandy and Aunt Shirley. They raised and loved him unconditionally. To him, they were mom and pop.

Darick had one beautiful daughter, Patresha Strom of Dorchester, MA. He had five siblings, Tyrone Wade and Tony Haley of Roxbury, MA, Ivan Wade of Fall River, MA, and two sisters Valerie (Losie) Wade (deceased), and Aurelia Hicks (Wade) of Brockton, MA. He also had a long-time girlfriend, Scholange Smith of Roxbury, MA.

Darick resided in Bar Harbor, ME and was an employee of Jackson Labs. He loved his job and his friends. They became his second family and village.

Darick loved all types of music from gospel to rap (Pop Smoke). He loved to shop for clothes, sneakers, and jewelry. He loved to dress. Also, he loved cheesecake and Uncle's chopped barbecue when he came home to visit.

Darick was a good, caring, giving, and loving man. He always said, "I Love My Family". We will miss his jokes, laughs, and his silly smile. Every day, his mother and sister would have a 3-way conference call just to check on him. They used to chat about their favorite movies, "48 Hours" (Eddie Murphy) and "Clean and Sober" (Michael Keaton). They would laugh so hard. Darick had the biggest heart. Whatever he had, you had.
