Obituary

Constance Elizabeth Jones Diggs was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on July 16, 1944. She was the fourth of five children born to Viola Key Campbell and Ralph Campbell. Her siblings included Gertrude Fullwood, Ralph Campbell, Diane Adams (Gerry Adams), Leslie Campbell (Jenetta Campbell), and Deborah Trotman. Later, she moved to Colorado, where she met James E Diggs, the love of her life.

After completing her high school studies, Constance attended a college in Boston and earned a degree. She worked hard and held various jobs throughout her life. One of her jobs was working as a meter maid for the City of Boston, while another saw her working as the head chef at the University of Colorado. Cooking was her passion, and she loved sharing her culinary creations with her family. She would often prepare meals for her loved ones, and they would gather together to enjoy her delicious food. Constance also enjoyed playing cards, spending time with her family and friends, and collecting figurines.

Constance was blessed with three children: James Emmanuel Jones (Brona), Katheryn Laverne Jones-Wood (Michael Wood), and Tracey Nicole Jones. She was also a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Lamarr P. Jones, Marcus K. Jones, Jamal K. Jones, Sherry N. Wilder, Brianna Elise Brown, Ashiiya Leigh Jones, Aliika Naomi Rose Jones, and Aliike Michael Dashon Jones. Additionally, she had eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy.

Sadly, Constance passed away on April 17, 2024, leaving behind a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will always

remember her kindness, generosity, and love. Constance was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of everyone she met, and her memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
