Obituary

Charles R. Landford, Sr., son of the late Minnie Landford and Moses Jennings, was born on September 7,1952 in Boston, Massachusetts and       departed this life on November 10, 2023.

Charles, affectionately known as "Ray", attended and graduated from Copley High School, Boston.

He was employed at The Boston Garden/Fleet Center for over thirty years.  He loved his time at the "Garden" and was a huge "Celtics" and sports fan.

He married the love of his life, Elnora Samuel, on July 30, 1984.  From this union, Charles R. Landford, Jr., and Christopher R. Landford were born and they were the joy of his life. He was a devoted husband and father.

Charles accepted Christ and became a member of Morning Star Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Charles Taylor.  As a member, he served faithfully as part of the Men's Fellowship.

He was also a member of the Men's Choir and the Outreach Exodus  Recovery Ministry where he enjoyed socializing with the members.

Charles Ray leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Elnora, son, Charles Jr., his grandson, Charles III, his granddaughter, Kennedy Joy Landford, and his sisters: Dorothy A. Butler, Gwendolyn Landford, brother-in-laws, Bobbie L. Butler, Sr. and James Walker, Jr.; nieces: Tanya Butler, Deanna Harvey, nephews: Bobbie L. Butler, Jr., Johnnie M. Butler, Jr., Derrell M. Butler, cousins, and a host of family and friends.
