Celia Mae Simmons was born on February 16th 1959 in Selma Alabama to the late Elvira Simmons and Herman Steward. Celia was the third oldest of 11 children, she loved her siblings, family and friends very much. Celia loved fashion and music, her favorite color was purple and her favorite singer was Diana Ross.

During her lifetime Celia touched the lives of many people around her, aside from having a fun and free spirit that loved to laugh, Celia also had a big and loving heart. Her generosity was beyond measure.

Celia Mae took joy in helping others. She had dreams of becoming a civil service worker as a healthcare professional. Celia is survived by her five daughters

Mukiya Simmons, Sencelia Simmons, Chicana Simmons, Margaret Goddings Simmons and Clautrisha Seward Simmons as well as 22 grandchildren.

In addition to her five daughters and 22 grandchildren Celia is also survived by her eight living brothers and sisters

Frank Simmons, Anne Simmons, Addie Simmons, Tyrone Simmons, Diane Simmons, Daniel Simmons, Charise Simmons and Lazell Simmons and a host of nieces, nephews and in laws.

Celia has gone home to reunite with her mother and father, her sisters Tawanda and Angie, her niece Peaches, her nephew Javon and her sister in law Diane Simmons.

Heaven has gained another beautiful soul who will surely be missed.
