Catava's journey through life, her kindness and love, left many footprints. So it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved niece, daughter, mother and friend Catava Orika Gee. Catava was born March 26, 1976, in Springfield, MA and unexpectedly passed October 19, 2024, at her home in Lynn, MA. Catava had a passion for animals since she was a child. She most recently worked to train service dogs. She was working to establish her own pet grooming and training business. Catava leaves two sons Caron Gee (Atlanta) and Qu'Mari Gee (Springfield) and her father Carlos Dukes (Springfield). Catava was predeceased by her mother Dorothy Gee, Grandmother Ocie Gee Taylor, Grandfather Albert Gee and Great Grandmother Clara Lovett. She also leaves Darnell, Colleen and Imani Williams (Boston). Anthony, Jennifer. Kai and Khari Gee (Atlanta) and several other nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins representing the Dukes, Gee and Keaton family members. A special thank you goes out to Charles Davis Jr of Springfield, MA and Phil Trahan of Lynn, MA for loving and supporting Catava over many years.
