Carrie Lou Brown Copeland was born on September 7, 1931, in Manchester, Georgia, to the late Carrie Owens Brown and Elder Brown. She was one of eleven children and is survived by her beloved sister, Sarah Bullock.
In 1954, Carrie moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where she built a beautiful life for herself and her family. She was employed with Sanitas Cleaning Company, where she worked faithfully until her retirement.
Carrie was united in marriage to the late Arthur Copeland, with whom she shared a life filled with love, faith, and family. Together, they raised five children: Arthur Copeland, Steve Copeland, Theresa Copeland, Deborah (Copeland) Gilmore, and Jacqueline Copeland. She was preceded in death by her son, Steve Copeland.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Carrie's legacy continues through her seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, great–nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will cherish her memory.
Carrie was a faithful member of Mount Calvary Church in Boston, where she found joy in worship and fellowship. Known for her warm heart and generous spirit, she loved spending time with her family and cooking delicious meals that brought everyone together.
Carrie Lou Brown Copeland will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
