Carolyn Louise Ferguson-Sparks, was called home and passed away peacefully on Mother's Day, May 10, 2026.

Carolyn was born on September 1, 1940, to Louise Jenkins and Willie Ferguson. Carolyn was born and raised in Augusta Georgia.

Carolyn met and married Charles Dixon -the first love of her life and father to her four children; while living in Boston, MA. Carolyn worked at Boston University as a secretary, and it was this career that followed Carolyn for most of her professional life. Later in Carolyn's life she gave her life over to Jesus Christ and bestowed to her children her belief in a God. Later than some to graduate- Carolyn succeeded in going to college to obtain a Bachelor of Science and a Master's in Christianity.

Carolyn's favorite pastimes since she was a little girl was to go to or watch movies and I can attest she loved ordering movies online and going out to eat at restaurants

Carolyn is survived by 3 brothers Willie Kimbrough, Anthony Tubman, Everettt Jenkins and 1 sister Pam Kimbrough

Carolyn is survived by her four children; Michael Dixon, Donna Dixon, Angela Dixon and Veronica Heywood

Carolyn leaves behind a plethora of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
