Carolyn Parker was born to the late Wasten and Caroline Clark on December 27, 1942, in Savannah, GA. Carolyn was reared in a loving home with an older brother and two younger sisters. She gained her wings on April 2, 2026. Carolyn graduated from A.E. Beach High School in Savannah, Georgia. When she relocated to Boston, MA, she met and later married James Parker. They had four children. Carolyn raised her children on East Cottage St. and later moved to Fidelis Way in Brighton, a place that became deeply connected to her life and legacy.

Carolyn went by many names, "Ma", "Nana", "Auntie Carol" and most important… "Ms.P". She had a passion in working with children. So much so, after achieving her degree in education at Wheelock College, Carolyn began her career in the Boston Public School system. From there, Carolyn moved on to becoming a cook, teacher, and Head Director at the Fidelis Way daycare.

Carolyn was known for her kindness, generosity, and open heart. Her home was always open to family, friends, and anyone in need. She took Rachael Day in to raise with her own children, and they shared a special bond until her passing in 2000.

Her faith was an important part of her life. In the 1970s, Carolyn and her family joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church. In later years, she became a devoted member of Holistic Church, where she remained active for more than 15 years and was loved and cared for by her church family.

Throughout her life, Carolyn received many accolades for her dedication to her community. She served on the CTA Board in Fidelis Way and was also a member of the Board of Directors for ABCD and APAC in the Allston–Brighton.

She is preceded in death by her mom and dad; Caroline and Wasten Clark, brother; Wasten Clark Jr., and sisters; Linda Wilson and Eva Jean Coakley, and bonus daughter; Rachael Day.

In bereavement, Carolyn is survived by her children: Carolyn D. and husband Reginald Earl, Yvette, Joanne, and James L. and wife Daylana Parker. Her grandchildren: James, Daren and wife Stephanie Nunley, Alexandrea, Falyn and husband Demetrius Wardsworth, Jamal, Aren, Miles, Jayson, Bryson, and Jaylen. Her Sister-in-law: Gloria Clark, Her brothers-in-law: Sidney Britt and Mark Britt and a host of great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifetime friends.
