Carey Laurence Harris, Jr., affectionately known as “Kur” was born on November 28, 1957 to Carey Laurence Harris, Sr. and Evangeline Harris, in Newport News, VA. Carey grew up in Boston, a city that remained an important part of his identity and held many of the people and memories he cherished throughout his life.

Carey was a beautiful soul who carried light and throughout his life. He was a man with a heart of gold, gentle, giving, funny, creative, and deeply loved.
