Bethel Keller, lovingly known to many as a woman of warmth, strength, and humor, passed away peacefully in her home in Haverhill on March 27, 2026, at the age of 94.

Born on June 6, 1931, in Groveland, Massachusetts, Bethel was the daughter of Irean Frost. She lived a full and meaningful life marked by hard work, compassion, and dedication to others.

Bethel began her career at Western Electric, where she worked faithfully until her retirement. Never one to slow down, she later returned to school to pursue her passion for caregiving, earning her certification as a CNA. She went on to work in nursing homes, where she touched countless lives with her kindness and gentle spirit.

In her personal life, Bethel found joy in the simple pleasures. She loved shopping, especially thrifting, always finding hidden treasures. She enjoyed playing Bingo, and her creativity shined through her love for sewing and knitting. Bethel also gave back to her community by volunteering at a shelter, reflecting her generous and caring heart.

Bethel will be remembered most for her kindness, her sense of humor, and the love she shared with everyone around her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Warren Keller, and her daughter, Irean Keller Smith and her son in-law Wilbur F. Brittle.

She leaves behind a large and loving family who will cherish her memory: her children, Bethel Keller-Brittle; Miriam Perkins and her spouse Clarence Perkins; and Martha Keller. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Warren H. Keller-Brittle; Micleta Smith, Leontyne Smith, Maisha Smith, Anthony Keller-Brittle and his spouse Daschka Keller-Brittle, Bethel Marion and her spouse Jerome Marion; Jonathan Keller-Perkins and his spouse Michelle Perkins; Jacqueline Keller-Perkins; Michael Keller-Brown, and Nkemjika Keller-Charpoo.

Bethel was also blessed with many great-grandchildren: Devona Allen, William Allen III, Khalia Marcarno-Brittle, Shaiqwan Williams, Takayla Smith-Loften, Eric Chisholm, Brighton Smith-Loften, Malik Rice, Myari Smith-Knight, Anthony Smith-Knight, Ebiasaph Wadi, Elias Dubois, Bishop Brown, Malaysia Smith-Knight, Zahara Brown, Antoine Keller-Brittle, Bethel Marion, Paisli Dubois, Bryson Bailey-Smith, Vanna Perkins and Kelani Allen.

To her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was more than a grandmother—she was a source of love, strength, laughter, and comfort. Her presence was a blessing, her wisdom a guide, and her love a gift that will be carried in our hearts forever. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Her legacy of love, resilience, and compassion will live on through all who knew and loved her.
