Barry Charles Lane was born on January 10th 1957 to the late Edward C. Lane and Margaret Flynn Lane and beloved Dorothy Craig.

Barry grew up in the South End of Boston where he lived with his grandparents (Charles and Connie Lane) during the school week while his parents worked full time jobs at Raytheon and Sylvania.

Barry began his education at Saint Francis de Sales in Roxbury. He went on to attend and graduate from Saint Mary’s High School. Barry’s post high school education included auditing classes at MIT or sneaking into the back row just to listen.

Barry was a hard worker. He began his work career as a young man at Boston City Hospital and spent more than 40 years as a Process and Control Operator at Boston Medical Center until his retirement.

Barry was an avid lover of movies, cycling and DJing. He loved to have a good time and the basement of 47 BeechGlen Street will always be known as the place to be and the birthplace of WBAD with friends Butch, Buggy, Leroy, Richie, Bit, Trevor (deceased members Darryl, Donny, Dave Mac) and many others he called family.

Barry leaves behind his older brother Eric Meza, his oldest son Charles B. Odwara (mother Waleta Odwara), Mark Lane (mother Cheryl Gosman, stepson Monty Gosman) and daughter Nicole Kelley (Mother Virginia Kelley). He was the grandfather of Ariana Odwara, Aayana and Aadyn Kelley and Brielle Gosman. Uncle to niece Tiana Robles and family (JJ, Antonio and Landon) and nephew Darrius Sutherland. He also leaves his love Aloah Floyd. He goes to join Grandpa Pops (Edward C. Lane) and together they watch movies and play pool for all eternity. Barry was well loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
