Arrie Robert Jordan (Husband of the Late Doris (Doodie) Helen Jordan) was born in Boston Mass on Jan 5, 1929, to Marjorie Irene Stewart of Saint John New Brunswick Canada and Arrie Williams of Georgia, he was later adopted by his stepfather when his mother married Lester Hiram Jordan of Yarmouth Nova Scotia and together they had a son Lester H Jordan Jr. (Arrie's brother) Arrie and his brother were raised in the south end section of Boston. Arrie also known as Buddy to everyone grew up in a diverse neighborhood in the South end which had blacks, Whites, Italians, jews, polish, greeks, and cape verdeans. one of his closest childhood friend was Boston Civil rights leader and former mass house of Representatives Melvin King, His best friend from childhood was Robert (Randolph) Lee, Robert introduce buddy to his sister Doris Helen Randolph and later they married and from that union they had 4 children, Alan, Helen, Darryl, Sean. Robert also introduced Buddy's Brother Lester Jordan to another one of his sisters Pauline Randolph (Jordan) They married and from that union they had 5 children.

Arrie was a hardworking man he had his first Job at 14 delivering oil, and Ice, he worked as a building wrecker with his friends brother-in-law Robert lee and Freddie Parker who later married his sister-in-law Mary (Randolph) Parker. His last Job was a mail handler for 28 years at the post office where he retired in 1996.

He loved to travel to Canada, every year he would travel to Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec. He had a love for movies, Jazz, and sports he loved football, track and field, and Boxing. He had a love for watches, clocks, tv’s and radios, He loved telling stories about his life, his family and his physical feats of strength during his youth.

He was proud of his Canadian roots where his family go back to 5 generations. He loved his 4 children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He was also very fond of his nieces and nephews, especially his 4 favorite nieces, Juanita Randolph of Boston, The late Cynthia Jordan, of New York, Great niece Samaiya (Jordan) Rivera of Brockton Ma and great niece and Goddaughter Nichole Randolph of Norwood Ma.

Arrie was a father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, uncle, great uncle, great great uncle, and a great great great uncle to three nieces. He loved his favorite cousins Patricia (Dottin) Taylor of Cambridge, the late civil rights icon of Canada Joseph Drummond (whom he talked about all the time with his family) and including the late Phyllis (Drummond) Hector of Saint John New Brunswick and his beloved great Aunt of Cambridge Mass Matilda Dottin.

Arrie leaves to mourn his children daughter Helen “Candy” (Jordan)-Mcmillian, Son in law Lee Mcmillian, sons Darryl Jordan, Sean Jordan, (his late son Alan Jordan who preceded him in death) 7 grandchildren, grandsons Michael Seals (who preceded him in death) Mark Seals, John Seals, Corey Jordan , Darnell Hairston, granddaughters, Lisa Ivey, Nadra Dennis, Ariel Dennis who preceded him in death, 16 great grandchildren (1 decease) 12 great great grandchildren and a host of Nieces, Nephews, cousins in Canada and Cambridge Mass. and a host of extended family, friends and neighbors.
