It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Antionette Norris-Williams, Née Husbands, 82, on April 17th, 2024.

Toni was born on January 20th, 1942 in Bridgetown, Barbados to Helena Husbands and Benjamin Oscar Husbands (aka Arnie Vaughans-Husbands). Throughout her life, she often recalled her upbringing in Barbados fondly – her memories grounded within a vibrant family, alongside her dear sisters who preceded her in death, Catherine Stuart and Maudrie Brathwaite.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 39 years, Theodies Williams, and her devoted son, Ian Norris. Fond memories of her are held by her grandchildren, Lyv Norris and Camrine Penn, whom she loved fervently. Her dear cousins, Dr. Harold Harvey, Chester Vaughan, and Betty Bovel-Vaughan, who she often referred to as her siblings, warmly remember her. Alongside them, her nieces and nephews also hold her memory close: Stephen Brathwaite, Mark Brathwaite, Raphael Brathwaite, Juliette Brathwaite-Lewis, and the recently departed Keith Brathwaite, along with Nancy Morgan, Norma Morgan, Wayne Morgan, Kimberley Stuart, and Deborah Stuart. Her memory is cherished by her chosen family, Sheila Femino and her children Beth-Ann and Steven, as well as Shernell Lavine-Milius, Ronald Milius, and their children Wilner and Veronique– all of whom shared an abundant and everlasting bond with Toni. Additionally, she will be remembered by her many cousins and great-nieces and nephews.

Toni was known for her sense of humor and could frequently be heard saying "let me give you this joke" with the intent to share a laugh. Her deep faith in the Lord anchored her altruistic nature and she believed wholeheartedly in the power of prayer. As she journeys onward, we find solace in knowing she is warmly embraced by her Lord and Savior.

As we remember and cherish Toni, we are reminded that her spirit and wisdom continue to live on in those who knew and loved her. Her legacy is one of resilience, family, and faith, and she will be deeply missed.

May Antionette rest in peace, and may she live on in our hearts forever.
