Anthony "Tony" Johns in Boston MA passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026 at age 76.

Born in Boston he was the son of the late Anthony Guilford Johns, Sr. and the late Helen WIlliams Johns. He leaves behind brother, David Timothy Johns, sister, Lisa Johns Shaeffer and nephew, Brendan Alan Shaeffer.

He was a graduate of Lexington High School class of 1967 and received an Associates degree as a draftsman from Wentworth Institute in Boston MA in 1969. While employed as a draftsman he designed the concrete slabs used to construct the Alewife Parking Garage in Cambridge MA.

Tony was an active member of the Church of St. Augustine and St. Martin in Boston MA. He served on the vestry. As a junior warden, he monitored the church building, conducted inspections, arranged for repair services and supervised construction and repairs. He also served as an usher on numerous occasions. He was valued for his commitment and ability to get things done.

Tony had a kind, quiet spirit. He was organized and methodical. He was "all about facts". Tony enjoyed the company of others and was respected by many.

He enjoyed watching J eopardy! and driving his car. He loved history. Tony was "all about facts". It was not unusual to find Tony in his chair, pencil in hand, solving a crossword puzzle. He would glance above his glasses and welcome you with a small smile. He liked Oreo cookies and strawberry ice cream! He will be missed by many in his extended circle of family and friends.
