Obituary

Anita Barbara (Hall) Jones was born on January 20, 1931, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late Viola (Williams) Hall and George W. Hall. Anita was the older sister to the late Gilbert Hall.

Anita attended the Boston Public School System and graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School.

On January 12, 1952, Anita married the late Cicero H. Jones at Peoples Baptist Church. Their union was blessed with four children Raymond G. Jones, the late Gilbert A. Jones, Judith L. Jones, and Geoffrey M. Jones.

A devoted student of God's word, Anita attended the Bethel Bible Institute in Boston, MA in 1977. She later continued education through postgraduate courses at the Gordan College and other accredited colleges.

Anita faithfully served the Lord and her church in many capacities, including serving as an Usher, Trustee and Now Director, and Treasurer. One of her favorite bible verses was Psalms.

Anita enjoyed going to the Senior Center every Wednesday and Friday. She looked forward to playing dominos and getting her free lunch. Anita attended the Hibernian Hall, as well as the Grove Hall Library. When it was election season Anita would always volunteer and work at the polls. Anita enjoyed her weekends with her two granddaughters going shopping, the main item on her list was she had to get her ice-cream.

Anita leaves to cherish her memory; her son Raymond G. Jones and his wife Ethel Mae Jones, her daughter in law Nora Jones, eight grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson, and many other relatives. Anita also leaves her longtime best friend (sister) Rose Perry and many other friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Anita's life was a testament to faith, service, and the love for her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
