Alice M. (Banks) Clarke was born on September 28, 1954, to Alice V. (Banks) Hall and Samuel Burton Sr. in Anderson, South Carolina. Alice grew up in Boston, MA and resided in Boston until her final day on January 3, 2024. She attended Boston Public Schools and worked in various jobs as Administrative Assistant.

Alice loved to laugh and spend time with family cooking and eating. She loved knitting, puzzles, playing lottery and drinking beer. She loved her animals Trey (dog) and Sunday (cat).

Alice is preceded in death by her mother Alice Hall, father Samuel Burton Sr., stepfather John Hall and sister Linda F. Wynn.

She leaves behind her sons Darneil Clarke and Darryl Clarke (Fatima Clarke). Her two sisters Sandra A. (Banks) Bryant, Leice J. Banks, and her two brothers John C. Hall (Chanita Hall) and Robert G. Hall and childhood stepsister Patricia Murray; eight grandchildren Jasmine, Shaheem, Dreashawn, Treyvone, Shanice, Janayia, Danayia, Lanayia; three great-grandchildren Jadiel, Lorenzo, Jaylani. She leaves behind her nieces LaShanda, Cassidy, Colby, Kendal, Ariana and nephews Derrick, Marshawn, Larry Jr., and Jordan; three brother in-laws Ernest Williams, Larry Wynn Sr., Raymond Offley and a host of cousins and friends.
