He came to Boston, MA at the age of 9 yrs old where he attended the Boston elementary schools. He also attended Brighton High School and later completed his GED. Lee attended the Berkley School of Music where he became an accomplished bass guitarist. He was a member of a musical band called The Communicators and later formed a musical group named Sierra Winds. Years later he found enjoyment in mentoring his son, Lemarr Lovett, in his quest to learn how to play the bass. As a young man Lee attended the New England School of Barbering where he excelled as a professional barber. He served the community while employed at Owens Barbershop in Boston's South End. Lee later went on to work at Anne's Barbershop in Boston's South End. After concluding his public barbering career, Lee opened a private barbershop where for many years he lovingly cut hair for his loyal customers. Lee enjoyed grooming hair, but more importantly he relished in friendship and comradery with all his customers and friends. Lee was a loving father to his children and step children. He immensely enjoyed spending time with his extensive family. Lee always exhibited kindness and caring to whomever crossed his path.
