Clara Estelle Aaron, age 79, died in Dorchester Mass, on Friday, January 26, 2018.
Born June 6, 1938 in Freetown Alabama, Clara resided in Dayton Alabama, before moving to Boston in 1963. She worked for Kelly Services as a Homecare Provider until retiring in 2011. Clara was a member of the Mission Hill re-development initiative and president of the Mission Hill Task Force board during the 1990s. She was also a longtime community volunteer; serving as liaison between Mission Hill and Northeastern University's community development initiative for change.
Clara leaves to cherish her memory five children: Allen James Aaron of Atlanta, GA., Gerald James Aaron of Boston, MA., Earl James Aaron (Ruth) of Chelsea, MA., Elanda Aaron-Ross (Benny) of Sumter, SC., and Joyce Ann Aaron (James) of Dorchester, MA., 13 Grandchildren, and 18 great Grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and, two lifetime friends, Elouise White and Mahalia Curry, both of Boston, MA.
Relatives and friends are welcome at the service and the reception at the The Unity Club on 10 Dunbar Street Dorchester, MA immediately following it, from 1 to 3 p.m.
