Michael Sean Dukes

Michael Sean Dukes was born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 23, 1965 to the proud parents of Jonathan R. Dukes and Margarette J. Cosby Dukes. Michael departed this earthly life on April 13, 2019.

Michael was educated in the Boston Public School System and graduated from English High School in 1984.  During his high school years he was a star running back for the football team. Upon graduation, Michael worked for the Boston Public Library and later begun working for the Boston Building Trades as a laborer for many years. Affectionately known as “Dukes”, Michael was loved and respected by many. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all. Michael touched many lives in such a positive way while working with Pop Warner programs and youth football.

Michael enjoyed nice cars and all the modern styles of fashion; he considered himself a “Fashion Nova”! He loved to travel; spending time with family; and his yearly home visits to Georgia where he feasted on “good ole” southern country cooking. Michael also loved watching his favorite football team, the New England Patriots. He truly had a generous and unselfish heart; he leaves a legacy of fond memories and laughter that will be missed by all!

Michael leaves to cherish his memories his parents Jonathan R. Dukes, Boston Massachusetts and Margarette J. Dukes, Bremen, Georgia. His sister, Tabatha Houston-Bell, Carrollton, Georgia. His dear friend Abby Brissett, Boston, Massachusetts. His children: Latiesha M. Dukes, Thereze Murphy, Chandler M. Dukes, and Jaizel Dukes, Boston, Massachusetts; Makyia Dukes, Springfield, Massachusetts, one grandson Akeem Cohen Jr., Boston, Massachusetts and a host of other relatives and friends.
